There are several dog breeds available for those interested in getting a new puppy to add to your own home and family today. Due to the large number of different breeds crossed with one another, it can be very difficult for a person can be to decide what he wants.

For those owning a puppy for the first time, there are some things that can be done to find which breeds of dogs are well suited to their lifestyle. The first of these things is to get some information regarding at least a few varieties of dog breeds. Although this may not provide you with all the information you require to take your decision, it may provide you with some insights regarding what you are looking for.

Once all this is done, you may want to take a look at all the things that you want your puppy to have i.e. you may want to find out what your needs and requirements are from a puppy. For example, are you looking for a puppy that is energetic or languid; do you want your puppy to grow into a large dog or something that could easily fit on your lap.

Your circumstances are also very helpful in narrowing down your choices and thus ultimately making the task of choosing a puppy an easier one. Do you live in an apartment; do have a small garden, a large garden or no garden at all? Do you have young children in the house that you want your puppy to interact with? How many hours is the puppy going to be alone in the house? Do you have any other pets that may need to socialize with the puppy?

Answering all of these and more such as whether you’re allergic to dog hair, as honestly as you’re able to can help to considerably narrow down the field of different puppy breeds you need to look at.

And after answering all these questions satisfactorily, you would be required to list down all the characteristics and traits you would like to have in your puppy, like for instance do you want a show dog or a guard dog, or just a companion to keep you from feeing all alone and lonely.

These will all help you to find the perfect puppy for you and yours. You might have to look at a few dozen varieties of puppy breeds before you do so, but then again, the best things in life are never the easiest won things, are they?

The basketball season has had some interesting twists so far and many people have been off with their initial predictions to say the least. The Cavs and Lakers aren’t dominating their opponents, and I think I know the reasons. Let’s take a look at the best teams in the league to see where they’re at right now.

Sure, a lot can change over the course of the season and it probably will. Still, I have some strong opinions about the state of the league right now and some of the teams that many predicted would dominate.

All due respect to some of the players that I’m about to put down, but I’m simply stating my opinions here. I believe that a player can be great on paper, and possibly a great fit for certain teams, but there are three players who’ve all flocked to elite teams this season, and I believe that none of them are the types of players who win their teams games. In fact, I believe just the opposite.

In Los Angeles, I think the Lakers were better off with Trevor Ariza than they were with Ron Artest. The conventional wisdom would say the Artest is the better player, but I disagree.

He made the Kings worse when he went to Sacramento, and the jury’s still out on Houston. However, the Lakers don’t look as strong this season as last, and I believe that’s why.

Then there are the Cavs. Shaq is a different story than Artest, as he has a great attitude and wants to win. Unfortunately, I think he just throws off the team’s rhythm and his presence in the middle might not be so good for the team. Their record so far would indicate this too.

With the Magic, I’m just not a fan of Vince Carter. I loved him during the earlier part of the decade, but I think that his best days were behind him and I do think that Hedo Turkoglu was a better fit for the team.

The only team that I think got it right with its major acquisition was Boston. Rasheed Wallace plays his heart out, and was a huge contributor to the Pistons. It’s no wonder the Celtics are still undefeated.
